Not dual acting. Is from a 1929 Essex. The "dual outlets" are for oil delivery to the enigine, and to the oil gauge.

1930 first year for Dual outlet oil pump, I believe.

They are a smaller size but look like the later years that have a physically larger pump.

I have not compared the likely hood of using the larger oil pumps on earlier engines. But with some modifications very likely needed.

Has anyone evaluated or performed this?

While I feel the stock '30 oil pump is fine on my car, I do often think of additional modifications to another engine and improving its capabilities.

Interesting, several '29 Essex's I have become familiar with, have "Gas or Oil" electrical dash instruments.

They each had a float sending mechanism inside of oil pan on water jacket side.

Have not seen oil line from oil pump to an oil gage.

Could this be a modification with aftermarket parts to overcome failure of electrical gage parts?

The gas / oil is for oil level when the button is pressed.

The oil pressure gauge in the dash runs off a pipe from the oil pump.
