37 Terraplane - frame & interior paint, part interchange question

This may seem a "duh" question, but here goes, what color is the '37 Terraplane frame? I would think black, and I would prefer black, but mine is gray. It was repainted so long ago that I haven't found any original paint. Yes, there are a myriad of photos out there, but I've found none that highlight the frame. Also, is the interior of the trunk a generic color regardless of the exterior color? Mine is repainted a battleship gray, the car is maroon but was originally green. I don't want to be anal with the colors but would like to at least be close.

The parts question is whether the headlight bezel - the stainless steel ring - from a '38 will fit a '37. I already know the bezel from a '36 won't work. I have access to a '38 that still has these, but it's out in the deep woods and I'd like to have a good idea before I go fight Mother Nature to get to it.

A bit of follow up. I was able to ease through the interior trunk paint just enough to find that the original color on at least the floor and sides was the body color. I haven't gotten to the bulkhead yet.
