Cigar Lighter
The cigar lighter in my 52 Hornet is just the knob with element and the first part of the tube. It is missing the back element to which the wire connects. Anyone have a complete unit they’d be willing to part with? I see a couple NOS Hudson cigar lighters on eBay for 1948/1949. Not sure if they would work.

If you want, you should be able to use any off the shelf unit. I transferred the chrome Hudson knob to a new element and the new barrel screwed right into the dash. Looks completely original and is functional.

Does the new one work on six volt?

Well you can buy new 6v cigar lighters and housings and 12v ones. You'll need to get the one that matches your application. So, not any off the shelf unit but any remake 6v off the shelf :)
Here is an example. I haven't tried this one myself.
