Would appreciate any assistance identifying the year and model of the Essex Terraplane in this photo

This photo was taken between 1936-1940 ish in Canton Ohio. . The car was given to ta grocer to pay a debt and in turn he gave it to my father in law as a bonus to show his appreciation. My father-in-law would tell the story of how he was given the car and his older brother telling him “That’s a lot of car for a guy making $11.00 a week”
