‘36 headlight buckets

Well they look nice but aren't the same as my 36 terraplane. My buckets are of one metal piece right up to the silver band...these have an additional band before the silver band.
The 1936 buckets are smooth with some bolt heads only...these have some kind of screws for power maybe on side ...mine the cable comes up thru the support bar into the bucket....
However they look nice and if you have trouble getting the correct ones..these are quite nice and complete....each lens sells for about $120 ....a complete bucket I'd say would be $200/$300 each here in Australia....
Really depends on if you're desperate...not sure of the availability in the USA...cheers ken

I agree with Ken. These don't match what's on my '36 Hudson either.

Do not waste your time or your money buying these they will not work on your 36 if you are in th US you will not have much truble finding a good set there are a lot of 36 owners in the club also the 36 Hudson has the same head light bucket as the36 Terraplane it may have a different style lens thats all remeber if you do own a 36 that this is a one year only car so some parts are harder to find then others but it is well worth haveing a 36 I know I have two of them Tom.

I agree, definitely not '36, which are mounted with the bolts underneath. These are mounted horizontally, into the radiator cowling.

Jeremiah,
Just remember the glass lens in the 1936 came in two types.....one is like shown in your photos...the USA authority liked having the lens refraction to avoid dazzling at night..the other is clear glass with a series of nice half loops of raised glass starting at the bottom in half circles repeated...these lens were stamped at the bottom with an X for export...Canadian and Australian Hudson's mainly used these clearer lens...if you can find them in your travels ...get them...I love them as they look far nicer than the USA ones...(But as time goes on, I'd buy any and just store them as replacements going forward...lens are just getting difficult to get nowadays as the old sellers are passing and the knowledge of lens and their cars disappears...a lot of people have lenses but have no idea what they fit anymore ) cheers ken
