Thank you... .040 over 308, 7X valves, big block relief, big cam, 21st century timing chain setup, 262 head with 1/2" fasteners, Clifford intake and headers, Holley 390 cfm four barrel carb. Painted silver because that's the proper engine color for the 1950 Pacemaker it is going into.

Looks good! What compression ratio and fuel are you running?

I haven't done the math yet, but I expect it will be around 8.25:1. It should be happy with 87 octane.

Is that an aluminum block? If it is, I didn't know those exist.

The paint color is called Aluminum... does that count? LOL. No, it's just your standard everyday '56 Hornet block.
