Need HM gear pointer and how to remove

I am making slow progress on what I thought would be a quick job (how many times have we thought that?) Anyway, I am trying to remove the shift lever bracket from the shifter rod. I have removed the set screw from underneath the bracket, but it still will not slide off. The reason is that there is a groove worn in the rod, and I want to drill a hole for the set screw to hold the bracket in place. Also, I found my pointer has a broken pawl (see photo) and if anyone has one they would be willing to sell, I would be interested in buying it. Another item is how to remove the fastener holding the pointer. I looked behine but it does not appear to be a set screw so???
