Using Hydromatic auto trans in 1948 commodore

I have a professionally rebuilt Hydro for a 51 Hornet (single range) and wonder if it can be fitted to earlier 1948 -don't think the frame modification came untill 1951 - if not doable then it will be for sale here. I have a soon to be rebuilt 52 Hornet engine to use. Thanks, Gert

It's not a bolt in, but not a difficult conversion. The main thing will be altering the transmission crossmember.
