46 p/u tire sze question

I will be getting tires (possibly radials) for my p/u. it has OEM 16 inch rims, can anyone tell me how wide the rims are?

Wrong, All Super 6 Series Came With 16 Inch Wheels And Tires As Well As The Trucks, Commodore Had The 15 Ilnch. You Could Get Either Wheel If Ordered As An Option On Either Series, Bill Albright. Have Restored 14 Hudson Trucks

As Bill says, standard tire for trucks was 16 inch, 16 x 6.50 to be exact. Optional was 15 x 7.00. So, you could go with 15 inch rims - my personal observation is that the trucks look really sharp with the 15 inch rims.
