48 Conv back on ebay
Of course the reserve wasn't met, so it's back, with a reserve about 10K higher than what I think it's worth. So much to be done to this car to put it back to correct. It should be interesting to see if it gets as much bidding as the first time. I wrote to the seller and told her anything over 25 K would be a fair price. I don't think she likes me anymore ! LOL. Is anyone else on the board bidding besides me? Has anyone actually inspected this car?I would be curious to know if my assesment is on target or out to lunch.:D

SuperDave,
Based on the photos and narrative, I'd say you're right on target. There is a lot that appears to be incorrect for the car, not to mention condition problems.0 -
I think you could probably bring more than $37,000 on that ride!
Awesome!0 -
I think that ride is worth more than 37,000.0

right! lol!!!!!!
The first thing I would do with it would be to toss those wheels and tiers. To spend all the money on nice interior and then go to Wall Mart and buy them things ???...I wonder ??? LOL.0 -

I was just looking at the photos. Seems like a very complete car.....despite the fact that it seems to have the wrong motor in it, I think it is worth about $20 - $25K. It all seems to be there, which is half the battle.
My 2 cents.0 -

Exactly my opinion Dennis. I think it would take another 25K and LOTS of elbow grease to make it a nice correct, but not perfect show quality car. My intent in contacting the seller during the first auction was to bring her back down to reality. My advice to her back then was to take anything over 25K and consider it a good deal. The bidding in the first auction, in my opinion was pretty high, but I haven't seen the car, perhaps the high bidders have? I might change my opinion up or down after a thorough inspection. If it had no under cariage rust and no other major problems, I would bid 25K and have another bill for transportation to add to it.
I agree Dennis. Just finding one with most of the parts still attached and not rusted away is worth a great deal. At present, I am high bidder, but my top bid is 18.5K Way below the reserve. There are a few hours left in the auction. I hope it gets a good home and put back to what it was in it's glory years. Since you are deep into doing one of these gems, I know YOUR opinion carries a lot more weight than mine. How about some more pictures of youyr baby ?:)

I think I've got enough projects, plus, I'd rather have a Hornet convert. I know she'll take $25,500 for it. It is hard to find complete converts.0
