Both the intake and exhaust look fabricated to me. I'd say the source was a good local welder.
Interesting outfit though.

the carbs would cop some heat with the exhaust running right there. i agree that they are fabricated take a look in the second picture at the rear corner of the exhaust im certain i see a weld there0

I have one of the Edmunds 2x2 for the Hudson 8 but have never seen or hear of a 3x1 for it. However, there was a 3x1 for the 6 made by Edmunds or perhaps someone else.0

Bill, I just saw the 3-1-set up .and it is the one that we built many years back . Talked with Harry this morning and eather one of us can not remember what we used to make the center manifold from ????
Did we use a 1-barrel manifold from a 232 pacemaker ???
Does it look one to you ??
Thanks much. Cant Remember Rudy.0 -
FIRST POST!! I have an aluminum intake manifold that mounts 2 one-barrel carburetors that has been modified to fit a third carburetor. I will mount three 749s carbs an give it a try.
My question---has anyone seen a two- ONE barrel carb manifold? I have seen the numerous Edmunds two-carb manifolds, all have used 2-barrel carbs. My manifold does not have any means to fasten to an exhaust manifold. No name anywhere, either.0 -
I have a NOS Edmunds 2x1 for a Hudson 6 so yes they are out there.0

Here's a shot of the "triple singles" setup apparently made by Edmunds, on my '47 S6 with Hornet engine, taken in 1955. Glen Johnson now has this very manifold. It had "Edmunds Racing" etched into it like a vibrator-type home engraving machine would do. I bought it earlier in '55 from a Hudson dealer in northern Indidana, who had been running it on a local race car. I bought the three adapters and chrome-plated Stromberg 97s from J.C. Whitney. This was a "cold" manifold that was not compatible with the stock exhaust manifold. I fabricated headers for it.0

Talked to Jim Guinn from Texas the other day,and he also has a triple carb setup. He recently sold the '39 pick-up on the rear cover of the January/ February WTN.0
