Missing Italia

I just had breakfast with a group of local car collectors. One Gentleman mentioned that in the late '80's he saw a Black Hudson Italia parked by the Highway in Plainfield Vermont in the weeds at the La Port farm. He took a photo of this car, and will loan it to me so I can scan it and post it here. He will also give me more details, and the name of the person who owned the Italia when he lends me the photo. Stay Tuned!

Ed, your Italia is one of only a couple of cars I've seen that I thought "gee, if I could have this one, and never ask for anything else as long as I lived." (Another is Hedley's '40 8 LWB sedan). No point in wishing, though...I'll just have to take what ol' St. Nick brings...

Sorry everyone, I saw the photo of the car and it's a "Facel Vega".The elderly gentleman was "positive" it was an Italia! I take all leads seriously until proven otherwise. Sometimes these leads are "Dead Ends", sometimes they are not. This one was a "Dead End"! Well, sometime were bound to hit the jackpot if we check out all leads!

With the new shop I'm thinking of taking on at least 1 additional build (for some extra cash - not a lack of things to do!) and I'm talking potentially about doing a restoration on a 57 Facel Vega, interesting cars...definite european styled nose, but has a wrap around windshield/roof/rear reminiscient of the Corvette, they came with Chysler drivetrain w/331 Hemi
