stepdown / Jet / Mopar cam followers
From Geoff Clarke's post on the Jet engine displacement thread -
"the only part that interchanges with the bigger series motors in the Step-downs are the cam followers. And these are identical with all Mopar engines, so Hudson obviously saved something here by buying them in!"
If stepdown and Jet cam followers are the same as the Mopar item, does it follow that Hudson used the same hydraulic lifters as Mopar?

The cam followers are not the same as the early chrysler, however, they do work. The foot of the chrysler part is approx. 1/4" larger in diam. and the body of the lifter or follower is .060 to .080 taller, therefore in most cases the intake and exhaust valves need to be shortened by this amount.0
