stepdown vs hash flywheels
i take it that there is a difference between 48-54 and 55-56 flywheels and starters. just what are the details? and when you make a crank spacer do you install a longer dowel between crank and flywheel or fit another dowel opposite to pick up the early style flywheel?

i take it i will have to get a 48 to 54 starter to acheive the correct distance fromthe rear mounting plate to the ring gear.... correct?0
