This is not a major deal for any of you, except for me but I had to post this anyway. After more time than I care to remember the body shop where my 50 Commodore coupe has been has actually started working on it!!!

I went there yesterday and looked at what's been done and was very pleased. After 2 years I may actually see the car in full paint this coming year and with this being the most time consuming project on the car I can almost get a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel. At least for now I can focus on the final paint color choice.

This is gonna be a great Christmas!

Good News! Too bad you had to wait so long, is the guy making you a sweet deal or someone you know?
  • Not so sure about the sweet deal........yet. I do know that he is being more meticulous with this one. As he should, everything is being dismantled, blasted and epoxy primed. It's all first rate work so far. There are several cars he has done in the area to look at and all of them are excellent.

One thing I have noticed is that my Hudson is a favorite in his shop. Everybody who sees it always wants to comment on it and one of his helpers commented yesterday that he has never seen an older car like this one where the metal was in such good condition.

So far, everybody involved wants to see this car done, especially in this area because Hudson's are few and far between. This car will be a slightly modified Hudson and when the bodywork is complete I'll have some extra parts that might be of good use to someone else.

This sure got my motivation going again!

Should have figured out a way to get OverHaulin' to do it. Chip Foose and his crew would have it done in a week!!!!! LOL

  • I watch that program all the time and well..........I was hoping to get a call that my car had been stolen:rolleyes:

It's not to be though as my wife doesn't like the program, so I'll have to do this the old fashion way.
