I am looking for a Bearing Swap article from the May 75 issue of the WTN, page 13.

BTW....are all back issue fo the WTN available on CD-ROM? I have not seen this option listed in the WTN, so I guess it would mean NO. However, it never hurts to ask.

Thanks, Ed

So far the WTN's havn't been put on CD - biggest problem is scanning them in the first place. For example, just from 1980 to the end of 2005 would be 25 years x 6 issues per year = 150 issues @ an average of 45 pp each (around that) = 6750 pp. A fromidable task best left to a professional outfit.

Of course issues would have to be found - someone has them, I'm sure. I have most of the 1980 thru current issues.

I did already, Ron - that's why I haven't started on it yet. I did one issue - that's how I know how long it's going to take and why I recommended it be done professionally.

I'm not going to live that long.

You don't have to print the whole issue...What we need is a reprint of all the repair and interchange articles. That would be much shorter.

The WTN is sent to the printer in final form (except some of the photos) on disk. With the Jan/Feb 2005 issue, the printer has made a CD of each complete issue (including the photos they process) and they been stored in the Club library. In addition, your editor has a copy. We also have the magazine on disk going back to 2002, but without many of the photos.:D

Do you have a copy of Louis Backhus's Hudson Swaps Manual. It's available in PDF form and probably contains the infomation that the WTN article had. It's on Ken Cates web site

Yes, I have that manual. Since I may have to replace my right front spindle, I was starting to look for replacement bearing sources. The Backhus list refers to the WTN and the May 75 issue for which I have asked.

I now know to send a letter to the editor to ask for a reprint.

Well, the numbers given the Hudson Swaps Manual are still good. NAPA has them or ask for bearings for a '54 Chrysler Windsor.
