I was told that the Jet's u-joints are the same as some Chevrolets. Is this true? Does anybody know which chevy or a number that I can use.

Thanks, Barry Smedley:D

I don't know which model Chevy they are from but there is certainly nothing unusual about the U-joint. I took mine into a local parts shop and bought one off the shelf (I'm in New Zealand). They just looked it at it and and went and got the new one to match.

Barry - GMB 200X u-joint fits the Jet as well as the step-down and earlier model Hudsons. This unit is a HD model with grease fittings

    Well I found the following:

'48-'52 All Exc Pacemaker and Wasp use #88506

'50-'52 Pacemaker and Wasp use #88107

'53-'54 All Exc Jet use #88107

I am not totally sure about the above infomation. So here are the dimensions of the bearings. You can measure yours and pick the right one.

    #88506

    ID 1.1811 inchs

    OD 2.4409

    Width 0.9449 inchs

    #88107

    ID 1.3780 inchs

    OD 2.8346
