I've decided to sell this extremely rare pickup, I only know of one other in running condition. Hudson only made 640 commercial vehicles of all models in '39.

It has had a total frame off restoration, restored authentically to original gold color with red pin striping, original 3 X 5 engine (std. in model 98), uph. as original.

If interested e-mail me for details & pics at: oldhudsons@aol.com

Rick - OK, sent them, trust they've come thru OK.

How/where does one go to see them?

Those are/were called by Hudson "locker boxes". When tailgate lowered end openings are then available into which you could put tools. They were std. equip. on the Big Boy, perhaps optional on series 90?

The factory commercial car brochure shows men (employees/workers) riding to work sitting on them, LOL!

Right behind drivers side of cab there is a small sliding door on the top with knob so owner could access it there - the wheel wells protrude into the locker boxes so keep stuff from sliding backwards/forwards the entire length.
  • Wow!!! Very nice truck Pete! What part of AZ are you from? I've never seen this truck around.

Jay - I live up in Prescott, moved over here a few years ago from So. Calif. where I did take it to a few shows.
  • Peter K: U getting completely out of the California Hudsons? Seems all the cars you shared with me during my visits are now gone? Did you keep the Railton or the 39 coupe?

Hope your new year is great.

    Cheers from HOT
