Does anyone know the words to the song, "This Time it's Hudson?"

Are there any other songs about Hudsons? If not, maybe we'll have to play around with the titles and words to some old car songs like:

She's Real Fine My 308

Little Deuce Hudson Coupe

Hot Rod Hudson

Pink Hudson

Little Old Hudson From Pasadena

Fun, Fun, Fun, Till Daddy Takes the Hornet Away

Hey Little Hudson

Baby You Can Drive My Hudson

Hudson Ranch

I Get Around, In a Hudson

Oh Lord, Won't You Buy Me a Hudson Hornet

OK, tell us more. I believe the "This time it's Hudson" song was written by Harry Gaines. I though that was just a marketing slogan and never knew it was also a song.

  • I have an original song book of "This time it's Hudson". I posted the words on here sometime last year. I can do it again but perhaps you can do a thread search.

The Sheet music is currently for sale on E-Bay - Item number: 200065813133

Current bid id $35.00 and @ 1 day left. I'd like to get it, but Dollars need to go to my Hudson AC fund instead.

If someone has the words to the song - I'd appreciate seeing them and the other songs I see posted. I'm not sure how to search the threads to find them.

    Have a great day

Wanna drive wanna drive a Hudson Automobile--- brand new six or eight. Like to ride! like to ride a Hudson Automobile---- I love that car, it's great! For I've had cars---- from A to Z. Now I vow--- Hudson is my specialty. Now let me drive a Hudson Automobile. The best! in the U.S.A. you'll see! This time it's "HUDSON" for me. Wanna me.

Thank you very much. I wonder if this should be made the club song. I can see everyone singing this at shows. :D What a hoot.
  • Dave,

as you well know I lead the world famous barber shop quartet the "Hudsonaires" I saw you out at our last show at the fair. We close every show with this one and it usually has the crowd in tears.

And yes like I told you after the last show we are still sorry for the rap version of the song we did in the early 90's with Vanilla Ice. In my defense it sounded like a good idea at the time who could have know. I am still embarrased by the pictures of me in the baggy pants and the gold chain with the red Hudson grill emblem hanging around my neck...... blame it on Rio.....
  • I hate I missed that.

Actually you need to modify some of these:

She's real GREAT, my Hudson 308

Fun, Fun, Fun 'till daddy takes the Tplane away (We sung that one in Wichita the first time around)

and then there's the hymnal - On a hill far away, sits an old Essex Model A.....

and, yes, Lord, we is irreverant today.

    Sean,

Who could forget the Hudsonaires, the only quartet with Skyliner Styling and the Winning Walop. The encore that you and the B-Sharps did on the roof of the old Hudson Plant did cause many tears. But I thought it was the onions on the brats. Homer and Apu were in true form that day.

Please don't apologize for the past fashion faux pas. Actually, I liked the look of the Hudson logo buzzed into the side of your head.

Ya man, the original Terraplane Blues was by Robert Johnson and for the rockers, check out the version by Foghat.

I have an LP of Robert Johnson's work which includes "Terraplane Blues" & altho I've listened to it many times can't understand about 50% of it. I've never heard of "Fog Hat", do they sing it so you can understand all of the lyrics?
