Anyone know where I can get glass for the 4 wind wings? The local glass shop want's $240 to cut glass to the needed shape. Sounds pretty expensive.

  • I would try another glass shop for pricing.---Cliff Minard.
  • Considering that a tank of gas costs most people more than $30.00, $240.00 for that new glass is not that bad. There's a guy who sells glass on eBay. I believe he is legit and has a shop. He offers glass in clear and various tints. You may want to check him out.

    Gee,

Yes I would shop a bit... I think i paid about $25.00 for the last vent glass I had cut last year. I thought that was high, but I do live in the past...it's cheaper...I took the frame in with me and they installed the glass in it ., no charge. The glass is easy to install and I would have done it myself if the frame hadn't already been removed from the car for other work.

Try calling Bob's Classic Auto Glass. http://www.bobsclassicautoglass.com/.

He sells windshields and also has the rear window glass (its new) I bought my windshield from him 3 years ago. When I spoke to him he told me that he has the patterns for all the side window glass for Hudsons also. Good luck.

I think its really expensive ! Had a glass shop in Carson City cut me 2 pairs of front window vent glass for my two stepdowns for $75. Its cheap flat glass, untinted. I would call around. I pulled out one of my old cracked vents for a pattern.
