Photo Quiz, White Triangle News
Just for fun, take out your Jan/Feb 2007 WTN and turn to pages 12-13. This is supposedly a photo of '52 Hudsons being delivered to a dealer. Possibly posed and factory issued.
How many cars fit on the car carrier?
How many men do you see in the picture?
See any Hudson advertising?
How many Hornets?
How hard is it to tell the short wheelbase cars from the Hornets?
If this is a factory photo, why use such a disreputable car carrier for the shot...dented gas tank, etc.
As I say, just 4 fun...:D

4, 2, advertising in car windows, 3, 1, To save money. What do I win?0 -
I'm staring at the empty mailbox, I count 1 flag, 1 wasp nest, and no WTN
I should have paid up for the first class shipping. I'll be sure to check it out as soon as I can.

Ya, pop for that extra postage. The USPS needs your money. :rolleyes:0 -
4 Cars....3 men ( I know it's nitpickin, but look real hard, next to the left side beside the telephone pole and across the street ) Ads in car windows, 3 Hornets, Look at the difference between the front wheelwell and the door on the two cars on top, Hudson used whomever they could to deliver their cars, Many dealers actually went to the factory and drove the cars back to the dealership.

Yep, that's funny right there.
All the questions got answered right before me. Rick is right pointing out about the 5th Hudson (where does it go?). An interesting staged picture.
As to how many Hornets are in the picture: First you have to find out how many HUDSONS are in the picture. I counted 7, possibly more. Which means, there are at least 3 Hornets, maybe more.
Three men is right, as is the advertising in the windows.
As far as telling the short-wheelbase cars from the Hornets (or Comm.), I always look at the distance between the rear front wheel opening and the back of the front fender to really see the difference (only nuts like us would see such minor differences).
And, also of interest, Ed's article is about "Competing in '53", but I'm pretty sure these are '52 models.
Great pic. Thanks Ed and Sam.

quote]You forgot the biggest question - Where & what are they trying to do with that 5th car that is on the ramp? It obviously isn't going to fit on the truck (no more room...).[/quote]
Okay, kinda silly, but the reason I posted this is because most people who look at this photo don't notice that there are more cars than the truck can hold, don't see the man standing on the side of the truck (let alone the one in the background) and don't notice the "It's a New Hudson" signs in the car windows. Gotta say, I just love finding these period foe toes...:cool:0
