The S-10 chassis is too narrow for a Stepdown body swap. If you can, put a Stepdown and an S-10 side-by-side and you'll see what I mean. Putting a unibody car on a separate chassis rarely, if ever, looks right anyway. A '47-earlier car (with chassis) would be a better candidate for such a build, IMO.
The S-10 chassis is a reasonably popular swap on '48-'54 GMC/Chevy pickups, and looks right, to boot.0 -
I heard one time that Stu Coleman used an S-10 chassis under a 34 terraplane. I think it may have been the extended cab. He is in Montana, and listed in the roster.
