Here's The Pacemaker

Here is the Pacemkaer. I pulled it out under it's own power and backed back in after my daughter took some pictures. My in-laws were in town for my wife's Army promotion ceremony and I wanted them to see that it was back in business. I still had the hubs caps off and the left front parking light lense off. But it is ready for the Pennsylvania inspection so it can be driven.

That is all I have that look good enough to post. It is back in the garage now and it's really dark and the pictures do not come out well.

The paint job is OEM, so 56 years old. This car has been garaged all of it's life. It worea cover since about 1960. The engine compartment is filthy other than the pieces I have cleaned and or replaced. It will get a steam cleaning in the spring.

    Now for some winter work......

Very nice car. You can be proud of this baby! I'm partial to green anyway...

my experience with inspections on old cars.. the cleaner & neater they look, the better they come out of the inspection! When I took my 49 Convert for inspection, I was getting ready for paint. All the trim was off, primer spots etc. it looked terrible, but was in fine mechanical condition. they wrote me up for everything from low wiper blade pressure to loose ball joints (YEA RIGHT!). All I did was paint the car, put the trim back on and went back and passed with no problems..'Hope your family gets many years of pleasure from your PaceMaker.

consider putting antique plates on, a couple photos with your application to harrisburg and you're done. its a one time registration and no annual inspection. the car photographs well so there shouldn't be an problem getting approval.

    Nice Looking Ride!

You should be proud of your efforts to get it back to speed and keeping it in the family.

Original paint? Cool! Sounds like you're basically just going through her doing a sympathetic restoration which is perfect for a vehicle like this - did you mention how many miles are on the car?

Was this the car you thinking of selling a while back and decided to keep...or maybe that was someone else..?

Turn on some lights and get a camera with flash. Don't make us all come there, we'll want to drive it. :D
  • All I get is the picture in his avatar...

is there a picture that loads?

    Anyway, it looks great.

scarry, seems to look a lot like mine, but I went more festive, with the red wheels....

and yours is probably in better shape, in terms of detail, chrome, paint.

but mine has twin h powah....

Hopefully, I can get mine back up to par, this spring/summer.

Nice job Pacemaker500, I was worrying, not anymore though.
