Grill colour and another question

What colour should the grill on my 1939 UK built 112 be?
At the moment it looks like the photo attached and is just painted white. Would this originally have been chromed or was it painted?
The grill itself is not in too bad a condition but I do the grill from my old 92 (which I no longer own) and have considered putting this in place.
On another point both of my bumpers are looking a little bowed - what are the chances of being able to pick up new ones with the hardware attached?
