Grill Molding Clips

I'm in the process of cleaning up and buffing my (6) '49 SS grill strips, and the long, wide SS strip below the grill, and want to replace the original molding clips that hold these parts on.

I know of Restoration Specialties as being a source for these clips. The problem is that I'm having a hard time identifying the clips I need from their catalog. I'll probably end up sending them the two clips that I need, but thought I'd post a question here first.

Does anyone know the Restoration Specialties part numbers for these two molding clips? I know some of you have done extensive restorations on the '48-49 cars, and wonder if you've kept the invoices handy to identify these parts, or if you have advice for another source.

Thanks for the help,

Doug

I just did this a few weeks ago, and restoration specialties is the source. I am headed out to the shop now and will grab the bag and get you the part number to order.

Has anyone ever ordered spring clips from Restoration Specialties to hold on their '48-49 grill strips? If so, I'd be grateful if you could pass along the part numbers.

There should be a 'smaller' clip that holds on the six horizontal grill 'bars', and a 'larger' clip that holds on the long, wide strip that runs across the entire front end.

I appreciate the help. It sounded like I was about to get it (see above), but Dennis must have fallen off the planet since then ( no response to emails, etc.).
