Distributer rotation

OK all, don't laugh me off the fourm. Does the distributer rotate CW or CCW? I'm replacing the plug wires and have to set the firing order. I have set it at TDC and know where the first plug wire goes, that was the easy part, but I do need help now.

Depends on what model Hudson we are talking about. All models except the '40-'47 6's rotate clockwise. Because the top mounted distributor on the '40-'47 6's is driven from the opposite side of the cam, they rotate anti-clockwise.

Thanks Geoff. I have a 308 in my '46 pick-up, so I will now set it up clockwise.
