Says Twin Carbs but no pictures, I'd be very suspect of the rust...I think my 49 had more surface rust but less spots of showing rust through (look closely at the bottoms of all the doors, fenders, quarters...rust is coming thru

and this has been on CL for quite some time...I'd guess its about 1000-1500.00 over-priced for its condition...unless its a driver and then...
  • Too bad. It was a nice original.... now a rust bucket.

I think the owner recently passed and the family is selling everything off. There's an estate sale coming up on the 24th. Same person has a 1940 Mercury, 1948 Dodge Coupe, 1948 Studebaker, 1950 Nash Sedan, 1956 DeSoto Firedome, 1956 Plymouth Belvedere, 1964 Chrysler Newport, 2003 Mustang Convertible for sale.

I went to the estate sale. Had quite a few cars to look at. The guy dropped the advertised price down to $2550, but in person said $3,000 would take the 1948 Dodge Coupe and '52 Hornet as a pair. I 'm sure $1500 would take the Hornet. He'd been offered $2,000 on the Dodge, but not officially sold as of yet. From my very novice inspection: needs rocker panels is an understatment (see pic), quarters are soft, and new skins on the lower part of doors. You won't fall through the floor panels right away :) but replacement would be a good thing. Interior needs completely stripped due to mildew and I would even take the seats down to frame for health and odor precautions. Not currently running, but it does roll. It looks to be a complete. I wasn't able to really get under the car and look. He wants all the cars out of there by mid-March and will be there again this coming weekend, March 2nd or appointments can be arranged.

Did the have any Hudson parts to sell or only the cars?

There was a lot of miscellaneous engine parts that I personally couldn't identify as far as what Make vehicle, but parts I did recognize were mostly Chevy and Ford. They had rims, hubcaps, radios, bezels, and some NOS, like springs and stuff. I didn't find a Hudson "gold mine", lol.
