Dodge Truck Radiator

Question for the forum: What is the manufacture and part number for the Dodge truck radiator that fits in a Hudson Stepdown?

I am building a 51 Hornet Coupe "Resto-Mod" with a 7X spec. 308, 700R-4, Dana 44 rear axle with 3.73 gears, front disc brakes with A/C in it's future. The car will be diven in the summer months in the western United Stated, therefore the best cooling for the buck is desired.

Thanks

Fred

  • I have a 52 Hornet 4dr that I got from my uncle a few years ago. When I got it I was told that the radiator came out of a '76 Chrys. V8 wagon. I had it rebuilt about a year ago, and the guy at the radiator shop thought it was out of a V8 Dodge van (same vintage). Anyway, it fits pretty good, but I believe it sets back a little farther towards the engine than stock, due to the mounting brackets. I would be glad to take some pictures for you, if no one can provide you with the exact information you need.

  • Hi Fred, looking thru parts lists 1978 Dodge B series van,3 row radiator 360 motor at Autozone part 3 Godan/GDI 433889. The origional brackets need to be removed , and mounting holes in new radiator need to be elongated. Hoses used were Goodyear #'s 60859 & 61563 usung the portions you need & discard the rest. See you saturday Lou Cote
