Today is a clear day here in the Metropolitan area ( NYC ) . I knew that if I didn't drive , 120 miles, back and forth to work today , it wasn't going to happen this week. I avg, and have avg, at least at least once a week , driving the 54. You see , tomorrow we are expecting 1 foot of snow and then , Hudson depression . People in the downtown Manhattan and Jersey City are getting accusotmed to seeing my Yellow and White 54 now. I think it brings a little bit of Sunshine to a Hibrinating City.... On Friday , driving home coming accros the George WAshington Bridge, in traffic, a 25 year old guy asked me if the car was from the movie " Cobra " a Sylvester Stallone film. I believe the car in that film was a 50 chopped Merc. I said , no , with pride, This is the famous Hudson Hornet from the Movie 'Cars. He yelled back, I loved that movie... " Doc Hudson was a real car " ? I said.... " with pride, It's all true..... this is just a 54 not a 51.... I then told him to log onto hudsonclub.org.... Anyway that was the end of the Conversation. You never know where it's going to happen but the new Hudson Revolution is upon us.... Any way, I luv driving stepdowns and can't imagine my life now without one..... Thank you all for listening.....     there is a preety lady that passes my house often with her young son and he loves my hudson (and i get the feeling she does too) and they always stop and chat about my car. its certainly one of those times its great to own a hudson...

    Was on a HET Club outing at a BBQ on a country property where one of the LOTR scenes was filmed when a bus load of young blonde Northern Europeans beauties arrived on one of the many LOTR tours. They were all over the car in a way that I could only have dreamt about when I was of the relevant age about 40 years ago. It's still all in the timing. LOL:) :):)
