:( Selling my HUdson Rat Rod, I hate myself :(
We deceided it"s best if my wife stays home to be with the kids for a couple of years. We are headed for the poor house (money wise not family wise), so I have to sell my first Hudson (hope to get another someday). I listed it on eBay so if anyone is interested and has questions please let me know or call me 717-377-1309.

Sorry to hear that Herb, but understand, my wife works part time and is home most of the day with our son. Looks like a neat rod though.0

First things first. My wife stays home with our kids, which definatley limits our cashflow. There's nothing more important or deserving than our kids...
Goodluck with the sale. I'm sure there will be plenty of Hudsons for sale when the timing is better.0 -
Family first. Doing what is right isn't usually the funnest, but this will probably make your next Hudson purchase even sweeter. It did for me.

I recently returned to work part time after staying home with the kids for a couple years. Needless to say, my Jet still hasn't seen paint in the 2 1/2 year we've owned it. So, I've been packing up the kids and taking them to car shows as a spectator. Being girls, they love to point out the pink and purple cars and get really excited when the color matches what they're wearing, LOL.
So, when the time is right to welcome home another car, perhaps it can be a family project.0 -
Your day will come Herb. My wife stayed home and raised 4, plus me. in '98, Semi-retired, we moved back home to http://northvilleny.com (turn the volume up and click on the fireworks) Found a 49 Commadore and restored it Wife became town/village historian/geneologist. Hudsons started finding me. There are now 12 of them around here, 4 on the road, and 2 more of my friend's we're working on.

Sorry to hear that Herb, why not sell that white truck behind instead? Or Downsize the truck and keep the Hudson?
I'd only offer to be careful with the ebay selling...try Craigslist...and you might want to re-think letting the car sit in your driveway for any length of time...who's insurance would cover theft or damage if something happened?0 -
Thanks for all the supportive replies. I've sold a bunch of cars but this is the hardest one to part with. Especially when I hear my daughter ask me "Daddy, please don't send the Hudson away, I love the Hudson". Breaks my heart and she really doesn't understand why. Oh well I will be looking again in a few years.
Thanks again and I'll still be here on the forums and in the club.0
