I have been cleaning the stainless on my 53 Jet while waiting for it to get warm enough to paint. What is a good polish to use on the stainless?? Mine is in pretty good shape other than the main grill, it has been dented, I have straighted it the best I can. I have a perfect grill out of a 54' I am tempted to put it in What do you guys think??

Thanks, Barry Smedley:rolleyes:

    Barry,

I use Autosol polish on my car's stainless. It's some great stuff. It's even gentle enough to polish plastic parts with.
  • Where do you get it at??

Barry - check with Ken Amman for a Jet grill. He has several, because he bought out my parts stock three years ago or so. I'm sure he'd treat you right on the price.

1st thought - The average Hudsonite wouldn't realize it was a 54 grille. 2nd thought - If i had to choose i prefer the 53 but would most likely opt for a nice 54 over a wrinkled 53.
  • I agree with Nick, use the '54 grille unless you come across a nice '53 somewhere. I bought a spare '54 grille a few months back just in case the grille on my '53 got messed up.

I have managed to gather up a lot of Jet parts in the last few months. Let me see what I have. I even have a couple of extra Jet two door chassis that are very solid if anyone is looking.
