trying to figure out wha the two cars facing "left" or opposite side of the street are.... Sorry, not hudson related, but nonetheless....

The first one, I'm guessing 1938 Plymouth, the second, a Packard... year unknown...

Anyone got guesses for the car in front, partly covered by the inset picture?

    I'll guess a 1938 Olds.
  • not for the one in the back, the sides of the hood are wrong.

Maybe the one in the front though!!!!
  • 1st car: the grille looks more like a '37, '38 was more nearly straight up and down.

2nd car: radiator shell does not look like Packard.

    3rd car: '38 Olds 6 cyl.

I'm going to guess the 1st car as a '37 Plymouth, the 2nd is either a Grahm or Hupmobile of about '28 to '30 range and the 3rd is a '36 Chevy

  • Hi, I'm pretty sure the second car is a LaSalle, '29 or 30 or 31. The first is a Plymouth. Steve

    grahm, packard , chevy
  • First car is a 1936 Plymouth, my best friend's parents had one just like it when I was about eight or nine, third car is a 1934 Chevy, my grandfather had one of those at about the same time. The car on the near side, I will agree, is a 38 Olds. My Dad had a 37, just a few differences, when we lived in Chicago durring WW-II. Car # 2 on the far side of the street is definately not a Packard, but I'm not sure enough to venture a guess without further research.

I reckon '37 Plymouth, (note the position of the tail light with respect to the Olds pic). and 29 Studebaker President 8 coupe.

#1 is a 1937 Plymouth,#2 is the problem. It has the Packard radiator flying lady pushing foward the wheel, but only one bar bumper, so any car (almost)is out before 1931. Since it is difficult so observe the contour of the top of the radiator cover to see if is the Packard cathedral grille, I'd say a1932 Packard Light Eight.#3 is a 1934 Chevy.#4 1938 Olds six Cyl.(Wide bars on the grille).Ron

1st one is a Plymouth, second one is a Cadillac or LaSalle and the third one is a 34 chevy-Pretty sure that is correct--
  • The lead car on the left is definitely a '37 Plymouth (you can tell by the grille and the rad shell). The second car looks like either a '31 LaSalle or perhaps a '30 Chrysler. Not real sure on the third, but I'm thinking a '32 Chevy. The car facing the opposite way and closest in the pic is probably an Olds, but I can't tell the year.
