1947 Hudson Pickup for sale
This is a 'fixer-upper". It was originally put together from a brougham and a parts truck by an older member of our chapter, so it's far from stock original. The cab and front door are much longer than usual (more foot room!) but the bed is shortened in order to compensate. The doors are the post-war style, with the "skirts" added at the bottoms, and the trim is purely 'passenger car'. It has a certain style, and should appeal to the 6-footer who wants to stretch out.
I do apologize for the blurriness of the photo; it is a detail from a larger photo I took several years ago.
This truck was purchased by a young man who (alas!) immediately took it apart, hoping to hot rod it, then lost interest. The engine and transmission have been lost, and most of the other stuff is stored in the bed of the truck.
It's currently kept in the Canaan Valley area of West Virginia (about 65 miles west of Winchester, VA.) in a private home, but must now be moved from the garage. The young man is asking $2500. He himself lives in Annandale, Va. (Washington, DC metropolitan area).
I can put you in touch with the seller, if interested. E-mail me at HETdetailed@verizon.net (drop the HET first).
