Painting a steering wheel

Lance, The wheel on my 54 coupe was cracked and discolored. I used a filed to undercut the cracks and then filled them with bondo then sanded it smooth. Then primed the wheel with a high fill primer and allowed it to dry for a couple of days, then used an acrylic enamel for the base color, (Dark Blue) and after a couple more days of drying I overcoated with a clear polyurethane. No problems after 3 years0
