Jet Police Car

On the left is a Jet police car evidently used in Lincoln, Illinois in the early 1950's. I thought this might be of interest to some of our viewers.

Further down they list a prewar Hudson pickup. Is that a Hudson pickup the grill looks wrong to me.

Unfortunately I have been in that court house for 88mph in a 55 zone. Grew up 19 miles from Lincoln

Jets, Willys .... kid stuff. The Italians use modern, high performance sport sedans.

In 1981, I was in Italy with the USAF and remarked to an Officer in Goya de Colle that His Patrol car didn't look like it was very fast. He said, " When you carry an Uzi fully automatic machine pistol, You don't have to be fast!"

Thanks, Jon...great foe toe. I would say that the car behind the Chevy stopped in the road is a 1940 Hudson sedan. :eek:

Gee Sam, you didn't notice the '41 Super sedan (next to the white car) up the street a few cars?:eek:
