Unfortunately the pics are gone from the original post...
But guess who's car is on the cover of Car Kulture: DeLuxe?
Supposedly this car was originally built by Tony Farnetti?
I'll try and scan some pics later - I thought it funny in the accompanying article all the pictures of the car are printed grainy and bw - on purpose maybe?

I picked that up the other day too. It wasn't till I got home did I notice there was a Hudson on the cover. Not sure about the grainy B&W pics, they had another car in there they did the same treatment to. That could be thier way of saying "We're Ol Skool". Kinda frustrating. No pics of engine bay either. They really should have featured it in their sister mag Ol Skool Rodz. CK Deluxe is supposed to more about the style surrounding the cars, not the cars themselves, as I understand it.
Good story about the drive home from Boise though.0 -
Dan I emailed you what I believe is the car from the thread...maybe you can post it?0

I know I was pretty critical of this car - and I still think the guy who won it paid way too much considering - no interior, no windows, cut front coil springs and a junkyard motor and trans mated to the original Hudson rear axel...16k seemed high to me...or was that me?
I did some searching on the alleged builder - seems he's got a solid rep in the rodding world...is this one that maybe the original owner ran out of money on...or had a disagreement with the builder perhaps?
But if the guy is driving it and its on the cover of a rag - he's more man than me right now!0 -
Dan,sooooooo Neeeet.
I will be inspecting a 51 4-door pacemaker next week that is Half built Similar to the 2-door. (its for sale)
This one needs a decal in the Side windows like i have in my 51 2-door sedan that reads ( AINT NO MERC )0 -
first of all that car was not built by tony farnetti, he did however help with the chop. it was built by Matt Whitlock, he owns "Wrecked Metals" in Boise, Id. just thought id clear that up.0
