Temperature senders

I have found a few NOS temp senders. The type that screw into the side of the head of 1937 to 1949 Hudsons. Was hoping someone could help explain a few things to me.
The NOS senders all have 212 or 224 on them. I assume this is degrees farenheight. They are all the same dimensions & size as the sender in my 37 Terra which has a KS7 sender with 212 stamped on it. The NOS ones Ive found have KS3 or KS4 or KS5 on them. Are they suitable for use in Hudson cars? Appreciate your replies, Barry
