I bought it from Gus Souza, then had it for a few years and sold it to Vince Schoenberger in Kansas. Vince had me build a stroker and attach a turbo 400 behind it and he detailed out the rest of the car. He did a nice joy.

Any information on the racing heritage of this car? I see it's got a scoop that was put on at some point...0 -
It has a souped-up 308 in it, and I believe Gus raced in a few drag strip races, but apart from thet I know little about it. I saw it back in '87 when Gus owned it.

No, it was never "souped up" when Gus had it. It had a 7X cam and a Clifford 4- bar. and 390 cfm Holley on it. It did have a beefed up Art Carr Hydo in it that worked very well in my '41. Gus never raced it, just sat in it and rev'ed the motor a few times He thought he a a second wind and might race again but never developed. He had bought the car from Tim Wilming in Ca.
