What is the correct size/rim & tire for a 1937 Terraplane? I believe the wheel Bolt Pattern is 5 x 4.5. Is this a common rim size still made today? thank you

6.00 x 16 is the original tire size. Not sure what if any modern-day rims would fit. Shouldn't be too hard to scare up four original wheels for it, if you go through some of the regular Hudson used-part vendors

I read somewhere that the '30's HET wheels were common to a few makes, ie bought in from an outside supplier; someone here will hopefully know. Was it Dodge or Plymouth? That would make it easier to pick up what you need.
  • My stock wheels measure 4" wide at the bead. The bolt pattern is the same as Studebaker, Chrysler products, and Nash. All have the extra five indexing holes for the register stud.
