For a future project, I need to know what the total travel is on the step down drag link. lock to lock. (front to back) I don't have one to measure since I have used up all my stock parts.

Thanks, Davew:o

Don't know the travel but the steering wheel should have 4 turns lock to lock.

Dave, you might also think about a short w.b.lock to lock could be different. Are you working on R&P conversion?.

I have completed a R&P and it works, now I have another idea I want to experiment with. Since I no longer have the stock steering in the car, I can't measure the travel of the drag link.. Shoulda done that before, but at that time it wasn't important. Yes I am working on a Long Wheel base car. I'll report all my experiences after I finish up. I started out with an Isuzu power steering box, then changed to a standard Olds R&P. Took it out and tried a Cavalier R&P. Went back to the Olds/Buick R&P. Will drive it about 300 miles round trip this Saturday.
