Fuel Pump Installation
Greetings from Colorado!
Just received my fuel pump back from Antique Cellar and ready to put it back on the '51 Hornet. Since I have only had the motor running via gravity fed fuel, I have some questions.
The fuel/vacuum lines were deteriorated long before I acquired the car. With that in mind, I need to know the routing of the hoses.
Here is my best guess.
Looking at the fuel pump from the right side of the car, four threaded ports:
Lower left: Fuel in from fuel tank.
Lower right: Fuel to Carb.
Top left: Vacuum to windshield wipers.
Top right: Vacuum port on rear of intake below carb.
I may be off base. I haven’t picked up the shop manual yet. Next purchase on the list…
