OK - I need someone with access to an original tranmission floor pan cover for a 48-49 stepdown.
As you notice in the picture I am trying to repair rust and fit mine for the TH400
The pan was severely beat up on the lower edge (parallel and next to the front seat) - I'd really like to see what an original looks like in this area and the drivers side to floor-pan where you can see my rusted mess.
I think there is supposed to be a 1/16th inch bead rolled at the edge - because right now mine hits where it shouldn't be.
And I need to see the relief around the 2 mounting holes in the center of the hump.
Thanks for any help!

Thanks - but those aren't raw welds either - if I could do the picture perfect "quarter roll" weld I'd grind them in this area to make it looked like it wasn't replaced - at least at first glance.
I plan on leading the butt-welds after its stripped for additional strength and insurance prior to primer and bodywork.
Kudos should always be passed to Ken Amman who sold me these beautiful floor pans that fit so nicely to start with!
So - who's got some pictures for me?0 -
Dan, I hope this pic helps.

Royer thanks - what I need is a close up of the edges of the pan that got mangled from rust and mechanics over the years....0

Dan,
I emailed you 13 pictures of Nick's floor pan0 -
Dave - Thanks!
I took a good look through them and that arms with just enough to go start "gently massaging" the metal on mine back into shape - well as close as it can anyway/
Are the pans normally beat up and rusted out? This would make a nice addition part to add to replacement floor pans..maybe someone could talk Ken Amman into making these too...:)0
