anyone need a 57 chevy four door. I purchased this car to use for parts for my 57 post and have got a body with no frame left. Would need a trunk pan and a floor pan. but it could be done. all the side trim and window trim is there. I need some hudson engine parts. The chevy is really junk with about 400 dollars worth of trim left, but I've started with worse. I need a rebuildable 308, a twin-h manifold or any hudson speed parts.

You're asking Hudson guys if they want a Chevy? You don't know hudnuts very well. LOL (sorry couldn't resist not trying to be mean.)
  • yeah, but you never know!

The blue fastback is a Plymouth, isn't it? Kind of hard to find- I always liked the lines, and with a tasteful 3" top chop, would make a dandy street rod.
  • I think you've stripped it of anything of value and would take it to your local yard and slide it off. That way you'll have you're trailer READY for the next good deal or project that comes along and will able to respond quickly!
  • The plymouth would make a great street rod, I was going to build it but my father and I have four other cars and I've vowed to have the hudson done by October. We sold the 57 body for 5 bills! a guy down the street came and got it. I asked him what he was going to do with it and he said "restore it. " When he saw the look on my face he said " you 'ought to see what I'm workin' with now." So, god bless him.

I guess now you can buy some hudson speed parts
  • sure but it's always better to trade, if this guy would have had a carter carb, he would have had a deal.
  • I'm not one to reply in a cynical manner.....

But did you seriously think that anyone on the Hudson forum would ever consider trading a 57 Chevy, albeit perhaps rust free, but stripped of most of the parts, for hard to find hudson speed parts?

I had to think for a few days before I even tried to reply, but alas, I could not resist a moment longer....

I'm glad you sold it, a way better move, and likely, a more profitable move towards hudson speed parts, with the 5 benjamins, you should be able to get yourself a edmunds intake off the bay, and even a pair of rebuildable carbs, or a header from Clifford, or even a decent complete twin H set-up.

At least you kept the hudson, right????

Or... you can trade cash for the Hudson speed parts :D
  • Still got the hudson. . . I think one of the Maas boys out bid me on a twin-h intake. 60 bucks! I'll end up buying it from him for a hundred.
  • Oh yeah. . . Hey everyone. . . HUDSONKID private messaged me with an offer. LOL
