Yes, It does belong to Jay and I have met him. he is a great lover of Hudsons and this is just one.
Jay Leno spends much of his time and money extending his car collection. He has a row of Dusenbergs in his collection. His collection also includes a Lamborghini Miura; a 1932 Packard Twin Six 12-cylinder coupe; a 1913 Mercer; several Bugattis; two Stanley Steamers; a 1956 Chrysler Imperial; a 1966 Dodge Coronet Hemi; A Dodge Viper; and a 1955 Buick Roadmaster. His favorite vehicle is his McLaren F1.
of many cars in his collection.

this is the car I sold Jay. I got it from Jim Harmon of Banks Or, he did the race lettering. ILt was an 8K orig stick OD with twin H. Jay restored it to original except for the green paint he had left over from a Duesenberg restoration. He is now doing a 51 Hornet Sedan that I have helped him with many parts including a dual range Hydro. Jusdt went to the tonight show last week. and talked with Jay, 51 coming along nicely. He loves driving the 53 coupe, BILL ALBRIGHT0

Boy do I envy Bill right now. I hope you had a great time with Jay. He is a real car guy and never once does he toss the wealth or fame card in you face like some famous folks do. By the way, paul Neuman is like Leno, once you get him started on cars, forget it. He sent me a pic of him on the track with the mock-up of "Doc" and said he liked mine better. Cool old fart. Can't beleive he still races. He says he likes ot push the envelope once and awhile.0 -

When Jay Leno did the show about the model X Duesenburg (NICE CAR) he found and purchesed there was another car parked next to the Duesenburg in that 2 car garage. What was that car and what happened to it if you could ask him when you talk to him that would be great ? It looked like a convertible coupe ? Thanks, Ron0 -

The car shown in this ad "was" restored by the Davis Brothers for Spencer Blake of Amarillo Texas. I was unaware that Jay Leno had purchased this car. If so it answers a question I had concerning where the car was. This is by far the BEST 54 Hornet Coupe restoration I have ever seen. Possibly the best 54 Hornet restoration period.
The picture above is Spencer's son Steve Blake's 54 Coupe.

Does Jay really own a '54? I knew of only the '53 coupe and the more recent '51 sedan. Hadn't seen any prior mention of a '54. An example of what a "regular guy" he is: a couple of months after my two brothers and I met him after taping of the show and toured the "garage" the following day, Jay called me at home just to tell me he'd bought another Hudson ... the '51.0

LI ALSO SOLD THAT 54 COUPE TO SPENCE BLAKE AND DELIVERED ILT AS FAR AS ALB, NM MANY YEARS AGO. JAY HAS NO 54 HUDSONS. ONLY THE 53 COUPE AND A 51 hh sEDAN ALMOST FINISHED BILL ALBRIGHT0

You should check out Jays website at Jaylenosgarage.com. Here is a video of the '51 Hornet (I hope this comes out)

Just have to wait until the commercial is over then the video will begin. There is also another video of the '51, Jay talks about putting an A/C in the car.0 -

Ken,have you ever seen Dale Cooper's 54 Hornet convertible?? I believe it is the nicest one in the world!! I wish Dale got the car out more.He has had the car since he was about 16.That is another story all in itself, ask him sometime.Gene and Chris[father&son]have made many, many prestine Hudsons. Each one being a piece of artwork.Unfortunately,Gene passed away last year, but fortunately left a mark on Chris to preserve this fine Marque!!!0 -

I wonder if Jay gets his WTN first class or if he is even in the HET Club ? Ron0 -
If you go to his web site and watch the video of the old steam engine, the new steam generator is what our company supplied to him. Jay called us up to tell us about the video's and told us that we could do a link to it from our web site. Very nice guy!0

REF HET MEMBERSHIP, I PAID HIS DUES FOR ONE YEAR WHEN HE BOUGHT HIS HUDSON FROM ME AND ANOTHER YEAR. THE WTN WENT TO HIS HOME. SHOULD OF SENT IT TO NBC, HIS SECRETARY MIGHT OF RENEWED IT AS I AM SURE HE HAS MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO THAN SET AND WRITE A SMALL CHECK FOR DUES lol, i GUESS i WILL PAY AOTHER YEAR FOR HIM BILL ALBRIGHT0

Yes I have seen the convertible... should have said "coupe" in my post... LOL. My car was also done by Gene many years ago... it had matured well and the good restoration work coupled with a very nice original car created a car that is still presentable amost 30 years later.0
