wanted: pics of cornish cream painted cars
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone would have any pictures they could post of cars with cornish cream paint jobs. I am still trying to pin point a color to paint my 49. my car was originally brown but it was repainted with what looks close to coronation cream from the Ditzler color page ,the color kinda grew on me. I don't think i want to go with brown, green, or blue colors so this may be a viable option. Hudsonly, Lisa G

Not sure what color my car is but it would be close. Check my avatar. The car was all one color when I got it but it looked too much like a big lump so I chose to go 2 tone. I think it helped a lot.0

Lisa, have you looked at the site http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/ ? Select Hudson from the domestic vehicle category, then select 1951 for the year. The rendition of Cornish Cream there is pretty accurate, though of course it depends on settings of your PC monitor, etc. Also, there are quite a few original "paint color chip" charts around among members of the club and others. Perhaps someone would be willing to mail you one, on loan. They're about as good a reference as you'll find. The '52 Boston Ivory (posted above) is pretty close to Cornish Cream ... maybe identical. Anyone have both year charts to compare the formulas? Cornish cream, used only on convertibles and Hollywoods in '51, is noticable "yellower" than Corinthian Cream, which was available on all body styles. I've had the rare privilege of owning '51 convertibles in both these colors.0

Thanks for the pictures and i have been looking thru the autocolorlibrary pages to find something that catches my eye, just wanted to see a "life sized" version of it to be sure about the cornish cream color. Again, thanks..Lisa G0
