yet another electrical question

I would like to swap out the dash on my dad's '53 Hornet with a '52 Hornet dash he had in the garage. My question is in regards to a knob on the '52 dash. It is on the chrome speedo bezel below the oil pressure idiot light. Is this knob for the bumper fog lights. If so how is it wired? There are three terminals on it. Does one go to the ignition switch and then 2 to feed the fog light bulbs? I can find no reference to this in the wiring diagrams or the shop manual.
