Who rebabbits the mains on splasher motors?, and what is the general cost? Or, does anyone have a good splasher 6 for sale? Thanks.

I know of at least one HET'er who replaced the babbit bearings with shell bearings - beleive from a Jeep. Not sure which year or how it was done tho.

Believe it was Kelly Hinegardner - contact him at

    Hudsonly,
  • There are a number of machine shops that still do babbit bearings. Do you not get Hemmings Motor News, as there are several ones that advertise there? What part of the country are you from since they would probably require your crankshaft in order to fit them. Cliff Minard.
  • We can babbit your mains and line bore them. Will require your block, crank, and main shells or we can semifinish your shells and you have have the mains line-bored near you.
