Boy is there another part that someone should make a "good" repro of! Yes there is a company Green Mountain or something like that ( I am sure someone knows the name of the company) that makes repros but apparently theirs does not have the arch and they need to be modified to fit properly. There are a few NOS running around if you look hard enough, check the part vendors in the WTN.

I'm told the Green Mountain rockers have the correct curve in cross-section, but they don't follow the curvature of the car from front to rear.
  • THEY ALSO HAVE NO CLIPS TO HOLD ON STAINLESS TRIM. HAVE SOME RECONDITIONED. EMAIL albrighthudsons@msn.com

Dan, Green Mountain rockers were poor at best. Their 54 rockers were about the only ones that were close to origional. All this is academic however, Green Mountain is gone.It exists no more. Some guy was selling some on ebay recently but I think these were for 54 and made by another defunct company.I agree with you ,stepdown rockers made available correctly would be wonderful.

How many different variations are there? Like long wheel base, short wheel base, and two door, four door, etc....
  • Well, if you don't include trim clips it reduces the number of models dramatically. I guess the main ones would be coupe and sedan versions in the long and short wheelbases. That would come to eight different rockers if I figured correctly. Trim clips could be produced but left up to the individual to apply as needed depending what model they had. That is, wide trim clips for Hornets and Commodores. Along with narrow clips for Wasps,Supers and possibly Pacemakers. The big problem with Green Mountain rockers is that they had no curvature to go in harmony with the curvature of the car. They were produced straight and the character lines were really not true to Hudsons. They were about the only folks making them so people put up with them. They weren't really that good but other than patching up old rusted rockers you had no choice. That's pretty much where it stands today.
  • Thanks for the information everybody. think I'll be getting the right ones from B.A.
