Step Dwn CONV Qtr Window Rubber-Cloth Covering?
I was reading the K-Kap instructions that came with with my Qtr Window weather seals and they say "the orginals were covered in cloth" and that you could do this if you wanted. I am wondering if anyone out there has a car with such orginals, has photographs, or can tell me what to use (and where to get it) to duplicate the orginals.
Thanks as always.
Thanks as always.

I'm not sure, but originally they may have had a very fine black velour-type fabric covering -- or even fine black flocking.
Restoration supplies carries a couple of fabrics that you might consider gluing to the weatherstrips: black moleskin, black mohair channel lining, or black bow drill cloth. OR, you could research flocking materials (you'd have to spray adhesive on your rubber seal first, then apply the flocking, I guess...like breading a chicken. It may be possible to heat it in an oven to bond it on, after that).
