Great series of photos Steve. Interested to see the '28 Essex 4 door with it's Aussie built body. Many differences to the USA built ones we have here in NZ, most obviously in the door hinges. Presume you know about the Essex Coupe at the Ginger Farm north of Brisbane (Yalinda?)

  • G'day Dave, dont know about the Essex coupe but someone in Brisbane must know about it. I will be speaking to a few members this weekend and I will mention it to them. I'm sure Spencer Yarrow may know something as he knows most of the Essex's in town. About that Aussie 28 essex body, some one has told us it could even be a 27 Essex body from the USA because it has the piano hinges and big side windows. The aussie bodies usually have the exposed hinges and plenty of wood in the doors. 28 Essex has wider and skinner look about the windows. This 28 has all steel doors.

    Here is this 28 Essex.http://groups.msn.com/HudsonEssexTerraplaneBulletinBoard/aussiehudsons.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=4032
